VIENNA, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Austria Vienna defeated Rosenborg by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna.

Rosenborg made Austria Vienna doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Grunwald Alexander ('51) and Pires Felipe ('53).

The second leg between Austria Vienna and Rosenborg will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Trondheim.
