Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Fener beats GCZ 3-0

ISTANBUL, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Fenerbahce defeated Grasshopper by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.

Miroslav Stoch scored dual goals

Fenerbahce dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Chahechouhe in the 4th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the “Canaries” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Stoch '72, '90).

The second leg between Fenerbahce and Grasshopper will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Zurich.
