Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Lokomotiva and Genk play out 2-2 draw

ZAGREB, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Lokomotiva tied 2-2 with Genk (halftime: 0-1), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night at the Maksimir Stadium in Zagreb.

Genk players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bailey Leon on penalty in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Samatta Mbwana goal ('47) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Lokomotiva with goals by Maric Mirko ('52 on penalty) and Fiolic Ivan ('59).

The second leg between Lokomotiva and Genk will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 20:00) in Genk.
