Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Panathinaikos beats BIF 3-0

ATHENS, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Panathinaikos defeated Brondby by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night.

Berg scored dual goals

Panathinaikos dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Berg in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Trifylli” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Ledesma '54/penalty and Berg '82).

The second leg between Panathinaikos and Brondby will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 19:00) in Brøndby.
