Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : AZ defeats Vojvodina 3-0

NOVI SAD, Aug. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : AZ Alkmaar defeated FK Vojvodina by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in the first leg of a Europa League qualifier tie on Thursday night at the Karadjordje Stadium in Novi Sad.

Wuytens Stijn scored dual goals

AZ Alkmaar dominated the first half thanks to goals from Wuytens Stijn ('32) and Friday Fred ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, Cheese Farmers further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Wuytens Stijn with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The second leg between FK Vojvodina and AZ Alkmaar will be played on Thursday August 25, 2016 (kick-off: 20:00) in Alkmaar.
