Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Panathinaikos held to a 1-1 draw by BIF but qualifies for Europa League
BRøNDBY, Aug. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Brondby tied 1-1 with Panathinaikos (halftime: 1-0), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Thursday night.
Brondby players started off well by taking the lead thanks to German midfielder Hany Mukhtar in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Panathinaikos with a saving goal from Ivanov Ivan in the 66th minute.
Panathinaikos, who won the first leg (3-0), secured their ticket to the Europa League finals. BIF is eliminated.Fixtures and Results : Play-off
