Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Maccabi beats Hajduk in shoot out to qualify for Europa League
SPLIT, Aug. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Hajduk Split on penalties 4-3, after the match ended 1-2 in regulation time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Thursday night at the Stadion Poljud in Split.
The score was still 2-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Cosic Marko ('40, '59) for Hajduk Split and Igiebor Nosa ('52) for Maccabi Tel Aviv. The “Yellows” finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 4-3.
