Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Olympiacos beats Arouca 2-1 in extra time to qualify for Europa League

ATHENS, Aug. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Olympiacos defeated Arouca 2-1 after extra time, in the second leg of a qualifying game on Thursday night at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Athens.

The score was still 0-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after Gege Admilson's only goal in the 80th minute, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. The “Kokkinoi” finally broke through with goals from Dominguez Alejandro ('94) and Ideye Brown ('113).

Olympiacos, who won the first leg (1-0), secured their ticket to the Europa League finals. Arouca is eliminated.
