Europa League 2016-17 Qualifiers : Sparta beats Sonderjyske 3-2 to qualify for Europa League

PRAGUE, Aug. 25, 2016 (AMP) — Europa League 2016-17 (Qualifiers) : Sparta Prague defeated Sonderjyske by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-2), in the second leg of a qualifying game on Thursday night at the Generali Arena in Prague.

Sonderjyske had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Uhre Mikael ('35) and Klove Troels ('40), while Sparta only scored once Lafata David ('44). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the “Rudí” nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Sural Josef '69 and Brabec Jakub '85).

Sparta, who tied 0-0 in the first leg, secured their ticket to the Europa League finals. Sonderjyske is eliminated.
