Europa League 2017-18 : Astana beats Maccabi 4-0

ASTANA, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : FC Astana defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Astana Arena.

Twumasi Patrick and Kabananga Junior scored dual goals

FC Astana dominated the first half thanks to goals from Twumasi Patrick ('33 on penalty, '42). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Blue and Yellows further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Kabananga Junior '47, '52).

The result put Astana top of Group A with 4 points. Maccabi is bottom with one point. In their next game, FC Astana will meet Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Astana Arena on November 2, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will face FC Astana.
