NETANYA, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : FC Astana defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Netanya Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Twumasi in the 57th minute.
The result put Astana second in Group A with 7 points. Maccabi is bottom with one point. In their next game, FC Astana will meet group leaders Villarreal at the Netanya Stadium on November 23, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will face Slavia Prague.
