Europa League 2017-18 : Villarreal defeats Astana 3-2
ASTANA, Nov. 23, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Villarreal defeated FC Astana by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Astana Arena.
Bakambu Cedric scored dual goals
Kabananga Junior opened the score in the 22nd minute, before seeing Villarreal catch up in the 39th minute thanks to Raba Daniel. 1-1 at half time. El Submarino Amarillo eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Bakambu Cedric ('65, '83).
The result put Villarreal top of Group A with 11 points. Astana is second with 7 points. In their last game, Villarreal will meet Maccabi Tel Aviv at the Astana Arena on December 7, while FC Astana will face Slavia Prague.
