Europa League 2017-18 : Slavia beats Maccabi 2-0

NETANYA, Nov. 23, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Slavia Prague defeated Maccabi Tel Aviv by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Netanya Stadium.

Husbauer Josef scored dual goals

Slavia Prague dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Husbauer Josef in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Slavia Prague players further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Husbauer Josef in the 54th minute.

The result put Slavia second in Group A with 8 points. Maccabi is bottom with one point. In their last game, Slavia Prague will meet third-placed FC Astana at the Netanya Stadium on December 7, while Maccabi Tel Aviv will face Villarreal.
