Europa League 2017-18 : AEK FC beats Rijeka 2-1

RIJEKA, Sep. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : AEK Athens defeated Rijeka by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadion Rujevica in Rijeka.

Mantalos opened the score in the 16th minute, before seeing Rijeka catch up in the 29th minute thanks to Elez. 1-1 at half time. Enosis eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Christodoulopoulos in the 62nd minute.

The result put AEK FC second in Group D with 3 points. In their next game, AEK Athens will meet Austria Vienna at the Stadion Rujevica on September 28, while Rijeka will face AC Milan.
