Europa League 2017-18 : Austria Vienna beats Rijeka 4-1

RIJEKA, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Austria Vienna defeated Rijeka by a score of 4-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadion Rujevica in Rijeka.

Prokop scored dual goals

Austria Vienna dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Prokop in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Die Veilchen” further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Prokop '62, Serbest '73 and Monschein '83).

The result put Austria Vienna third in Group D with 4 points. Rijeka is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Austria Vienna will meet group leaders AC Milan at the Stadion Rujevica on November 23, while Rijeka will face AEK Athens.
