Europa League 2017-18 : Lyon and Atalanta tied at 1-1

LYON, Sep. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Lyon tied 1-1 with Atalanta (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon.

Lyon players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Traore Bertrand in the 45th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Atalanta with a saving goal from Argentine midfielder Gomez Alejandro in the 57th minute.

The result put Atalanta top of Group E with 4 points. Lyon is third with 2 points. In their next game, Atalanta will meet second-placed Apollon Limassol at the Parc Olympique Lyonnais on October 19, while Lyon will face Everton.
