Europa League 2017-18 : Lyon beats Everton 2-1

LIVERPOOL, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Lyon defeated Everton by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at Goodison Park in Liverpool.

Lyon dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Algerian midfielder Nabil Fekir in the 6th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, “Les Gones” further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Traoré in the 75th minute.

The result put Lyon second in Group E with 5 points. Everton is bottom with one point. In their next game, Lyon will meet Everton at Goodison Park on November 2, while Everton will face Lyon.
