Europa League 2017-18 : Apollon and Atalanta tied at 1-1

NICOSIA, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Apollon Limassol tied 1-1 with Atalanta (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the GSP Stadium in Nicosia.

Atalanta players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Slovenian midfielder Josip Iličić on penalty in the 35th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Apollon Limassol with a saving goal from Zelaya in the 90th minute.

The result put Atalanta top of Group E with 8 points. Apollon is third with 3 points. In their next game, Atalanta will meet Everton at the GSP Stadium on November 23, while Apollon Limassol will face Lyon.
