Europa League 2017-18 : Sheriff Tiraspol beats Lokomotiv Moscow 2-1

MOSCOW, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Sheriff Tiraspol defeated Lokomotiv Moscow by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the RZD Arena in Moscow.

Lokomotiv Moscow forward Jefferson Farfán opened the score in the 26th minute, before seeing Sheriff Tiraspol catch up in the 41st minute thanks to Badibanga. 1-1 at half time. The “Wasps” eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Brezovec in the 58th minute.

The result put Sheriff Tiraspol second in Group F with 6 points. Lokomotiv Moscow is third with 5 points. In their next game, Sheriff Tiraspol will meet Zlin at the RZD Arena on November 23, while Lokomotiv Moscow will face Copenhagen.
