LUCERNE, Nov. 23, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Lugano defeated Hapoel Be'er Sheva by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Swissporarena in Lucerne.

45 minutes of play and neither Lugano nor Hapoel Be'er Sheva have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Carlinhos Junior in the 50th minute.

The result put Lugano third in Group G with 6 points. Hapoel is bottom with 4 points. In their last game, Lugano will meet group leaders Steaua Bucuresti at the Swissporarena on December 7, while Hapoel Be'er Sheva will face Viktoria Plzen.
