BELGRADE, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Arsenal defeated Red Star Belgrade by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Red Star Stadium in Belgrade.

45 minutes of play and neither Arsenal nor Red Star Belgrade have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by French forward Olivier Giroud with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.

The result put Arsenal top of Group H with 9 points. Red Star is second with 4 points. In their next game, Arsenal will meet second-placed Red Star Belgrade at the Red Star Stadium on November 2, while Red Star Belgrade will face Arsenal.
