COLOGNE, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : FC Köln defeated BATE Borisov by a score of 5-2 (halftime: 1-2), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the RheinEnergieStadion in Cologne.
Yuya Osako scored dual goals
BATE Borisov had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Milunović ('31) and Signevich ('33), while FC Köln only scored once Zoller ('16). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Billy Goats nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring four times in the second period (Osako '54, '82, Guirassy '63 and Jojic '90).
The result put BATE third in Group H with 4 points. FC Köln is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, BATE Borisov will meet second-placed Red Star Belgrade at the RheinEnergieStadion on November 23, while FC Köln will face Arsenal.
