Europa League 2017-18 : Konyaspor beats Guimaraes 2-1

KONYA, Sep. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Konyaspor defeated Vitoria Guimaraes by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Konya Metropolitan Stadium.

Konyaspor dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Araz in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Anatolian Eagle further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Milošević in the 48th minute.

The result put Konyaspor second in Group I with 3 points. Guimaraes is bottom with one point. In their next game, Konyaspor will meet group leaders Red Bull Salzburg at the Konya Metropolitan Stadium on October 19, while Vitoria Guimaraes will face Marseille.
