Europa League 2017-18 : Marseille defeats Guimaraes 2-1

MARSEILLE, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Marseille defeated Vitoria Guimaraes by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

Martins opened the score in the 17th minute, before seeing Marseille catch up in the 28th minute thanks to Lucas Ocampos. 1-1 at half time. Marseille eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Lopez in the 76th minute.

The result put Marseille second in Group I with 6 points. Guimaraes is bottom with one point. In their next game, Marseille will meet Vitoria Guimaraes at the Stade Vélodrome on November 2, while Vitoria Guimaraes will face Marseille.
