Europa League 2017-18 : ÖFK draw 2-2 with Bilbao

ÖSTERSUND, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Östersunds tied 2-2 with Athletic Bilbao (halftime: 0-1), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Jämtkraft Arena in Östersund.

Athletic Bilbao players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Athletic Bilbao forward Aritz Aduriz in the 14th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, and despite Williams goal ('89) in the second period, they could not prevent a comeback by Östersunds with goals by Gero Alhaji ('52) and Edwards Curtis ('64).

The result put ÖFK top of Group J with 7 points. Bilbao is third with 2 points. In their next game, Östersunds will meet third-placed Athletic Bilbao at the Jämtkraft Arena on November 2, while Athletic Bilbao will face Östersunds.
