Europa League 2017-18 : Zorya Luhansk defeats Hertha BSC 2-1

LVIV, Oct. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Zorya Luhansk defeated Hertha Berlin by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Arena Lviv.

Zorya Luhansk dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Silas Araujo in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, Zorya Luhansk players further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Svatok Oleksandr in the 79th minute.

The result put Zorya Luhansk second in Group J with 6 points. Hertha BSC is bottom with one point. In their next game, Zorya Luhansk will meet Hertha Berlin at the Arena Lviv on November 2, while Hertha Berlin will face Zorya Luhansk.
