Europa League 2017-18 : Hertha BSC beats Zorya Luhansk 2-0

BERLIN, Nov. 2, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Hertha Berlin defeated Zorya Luhansk by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.

Davie Selke scored dual goals

Hertha Berlin dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Davie Selke in the 16th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Old Lady further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Selke in the 73rd minute.

The result put Zorya Luhansk second in Group J with 6 points. Hertha BSC is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Zorya Luhansk will meet group leaders Östersunds at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on November 23, while Hertha Berlin will face Athletic Bilbao.
