Europa League 2017-18 : Nice beats Zulte Waregem 5-1

WAREGEM, Sep. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Nice defeated Zulte Waregem by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Regenboogstadion in Waregem.

Alassane Pléa scored dual goals

Nice dominated the first half thanks to goals from Pléa ('16, '20) and Dante ('28). Leading 3-0 at the break, Nice players further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Saint-Maximin '69 and Balotelli '74).

The result put Nice top of Group K with 3 points. In their next game, Nice will meet third-placed Vitesse at the Regenboogstadion on September 28, while Zulte Waregem will face Lazio.
