Europa League 2017-18 : Lazio defeats Zulte Waregem 2-0

ROME, Sep. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Lazio defeated Zulte Waregem by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Lazio dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Ecuadorian forward Felipe Caicedo in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Biancocelesti further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Immobile seconds before the end of regulation.

The result put Lazio second in Group K with 6 points. Zulte Waregem is bottom with no points. In their next game, Lazio will meet group leaders Nice at the Stadio Olimpico on October 19, while Zulte Waregem will face Vitesse.
