Europa League 2017-18 : RBK defeats Vardar 3-1

TRONDHEIM, Sep. 28, 2017 (AMP) — Europa League 2017-18 : Rosenborg defeated Vardar by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a Europa League group stage game on Thursday night at the Lerkendal Stadion in Trondheim.

Rosenborg dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Danish forward Nicklas Bendtner in the 25th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Troillongan further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Konradsen '56 and Hedenstad '68).

The result put RBK third in Group L with 3 points. Vardar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Rosenborg will meet group leaders Zenit St Petersburg at the Lerkendal Stadion on October 19, while Vardar will face Real Sociedad.
