Man Utd beats Crystal Palace 2-1 in extra time to win FA Cup

May. 21, 2016 (AMP) — FA Cup 2015-16 : Manchester United claimed the FA Cup crown courtesy of a 2-1 extra time victory over Crystal Palace (following a 1-1 draw in regulation) in the final on Saturday afternoon.

The score was still 1-1 after the 90 minutes of regulation time, after goals from Jason Puncheon ('78) for Crystal Palace and Juan Mata ('81) for Manchester United, and both teams had to wait for overtime to settle the issue. In the 110th minute, it was ultimately the Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard who brought the Red Devils to victory by scoring the winning goal.
