FA Cup 2016-17 : Boro beats Oxford 3-2 to qualify for next round

MIDDLESBROUGH, Feb. 18, 2017 (AMP) — FA Cup 2016-17 : Middlesbrough defeated Oxford United by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-0), in the FA Cup fifth round on Saturday afternoon.

Middlesbrough dominated the first half thanks to goals from Leadbitter Grant ('26 on penalty) and Gestede Rudy ('34). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Smoggies further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Stuani Cristian with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
