MIDDLESBROUGH, Jan. 8, 2017 (AMP) — FA Cup 2016-17 : Middlesbrough defeated Sheffield Wednesday by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 0-0), in the FA Cup third round on Sunday afternoon.

Sheffield Wednesday made Middlesbrough doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Leadbitter Grant ('58), Negredo Alvaro ('67) and De Roon Marten ('90).
