SAINT DENIS, Oct. 12, 2012 (AMP) — Japan defeated France by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a friendly match on Friday night at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.

45 minutes of play and neither the Japaneses nor the Frenchs have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa with just 4 minutes remaining in regulation time.
