International Friendly : Belgium beats Australia 2-0

LIèGE, Sep. 4, 2014 (AMP) — Belgium defeated Australia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a friendly match on Thursday.

Belgium dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Mertens in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Belgians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Witsel in the 77th minute.
