SINGAPORE, Sep. 6, 2014 (AMP) — Singapore defeated Papua New Guinea by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a friendly match on Saturday.

Singapore dominated the first half thanks to goals from Suhaimi ('17) and Nawaz ('24). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Singaporeans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
