HAI PHONG, Sep. 6, 2014 (AMP) — Vietnam defeated Hong Kong by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a friendly match on Saturday.

Nguyen scored dual goals

Vietnam dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Nguyen in the 2nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Vietnameses further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Nguyen '50 and Vinh '66).
