International Friendly : Uzbekistan beats New Zealand 3-1

TASHKENT, Sep. 8, 2014 (AMP) — Uzbekistan defeated New Zealand by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a friendly match on Monday.

Akhmedov scored dual goals

Uzbekistan dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Akhmedov in the 41st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Uzbeks further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Akhmedov '58 and Djeparov '77).
