International Friendly : Ecuador defeats El Salvador 5-1

HARRISON, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — Ecuador defeated El Salvador by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a friendly match on Tuesday.

Plata and Valencia scored dual goals

Ecuador dominated the first half thanks to goals from Plata ('16, '25) and Valencia ('18). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Ecuadorians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Valencia '73 and Penilla '83).
