MARSEILLE, Nov. 18, 2014 (AMP) — France defeated Sweden by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a friendly match on Tuesday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.

Sweden made the Frenchs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by French defender Raphaël Varane with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
