International Friendly : Peru beats Paraguay 2-1

LIMA, Nov. 18, 2014 (AMP) — Peru defeated Paraguay by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a friendly match on Tuesday night at the National Stadium in Lima.

Ascues scored dual goals

Paraguay had started off well by taking the lead in the 43rd minute with a goal by Santa Cruz. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Peruvians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ascues '73, '82).
