JOHANNESBURG, Jan. 4, 2015 (AMP) — South Africa defeated Zambia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a friendly match on Sunday afternoon at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.

Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Phala with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
