LISBON, Sep. 4, 2015 (AMP) — France defeated Portugal by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a friendly match on Friday night at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon.

45 minutes of play and neither the Frenchs nor the Portugueses have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by French midfielder Mathieu Valbuena with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
