International Friendly : Canada beats Uzbekistan 2-1

Jun. 7, 2016 (AMP) — Canada defeated Uzbekistan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a friendly match on Tuesday.

Canada dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Edgar David in the 20th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Canadians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Komilov Akramjon into his own net with just 9 minutes remaining in regulation time.
