International Friendly : Costa Rica defeats Russia 4-3

Oct. 9, 2016 (AMP) — Costa Rica defeated Russia by a score of 4-3 (halftime: 3-1), in a friendly match on Sunday.

Costa Rica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Azofeifa Randall ('22), Ruiz Bryan ('29) and Berezutskiy Vasili ('45 own). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Costa Ricans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Campbell Joel on penalty in stoppage time.
