USA beats Cuba to advance to Gold Cup semifinals
BALTIMORE, Jul. 18, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : The United States reached the semifinals of the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup with a 6-0 win against Cuba (halftime: 4-0) on Saturday afternoon at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.
Clint Dempsey scored tripple goals
The United States dominated the first half thanks to goals from Dempsey ('4), Zardes ('15), Jóhannsson ('32) and Gonzalez ('45). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Americans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Dempsey '64/penalty, '78).
