Gold Cup 2015 : Panama beats USA in shoot out to claim Gold Cup third place
CHESTER, Jul. 25, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : Panama secured the consolation of third place at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup after defeating the United States 3-2 on penalties (after a 1-1 draw) on Saturday afternoon at the PPL Park in Chester.
The score was still 1-1 at the end of the regulation game time and overtime, after goals from Nurse ('55) for Panama and Clint Dempsey ('70) for the United States. The Panamanians finally emerged the victors in the penalty shootout session by winning 3-2.
