Mexico beats Jamaica 3-1 to win 2015 Gold Cup
PHILADELPHIA, Jul. 26, 2015 (AMP) — USA 2015 : Mexico claimed a seventh CONCACAF Gold Cup crown with a 3-1 win against Jamaica (halftime: 1-0) in the final on Sunday night at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia.
Mexico dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by defender Andrés Guardado in the 31st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Mexicans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Corona '46 and Peralta '60).
