BAGHDAD, Mar. 24, 1979 (AMP) — Iraq 1979 : Kuwait defeated Qatar by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a Gulf Cup final round game (Tournament) on Saturday at the Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad.
The result put the Kuwaiti second in the group with 2 points. In their next game, Kuwait will meet group leaders Iraq at the Al-Shaab Stadium on March 30, while Qatar will face Iraq.
