BAGHDAD, Apr. 8, 1979 (AMP) — Iraq 1979 : Iraq defeated Saudi Arabia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a Gulf Cup final round game (Tournament) on Sunday at the Al-Shaab Stadium in Baghdad. Iraq won the 5th edition of the Gulf Cup, their first title in history, Saudi Arabia finished third.
